30/06/2020
The re opening plans at the Dingle Skellig Hotel were given a boost this week with the special delivery from the Irish Hotel Awards. The Hotel was awarded overall Irish Family Hotel of the Year 2020 and also won a prestigious Great Place to Stay Quality Award.
Speaking this week, Graham Fitzgerald General Manager of the Dingle Skellig Hotel thanked his team for the excellent service standards and had particular praise for the team who head up the children's facilities at the hotel including their Kids Club and Creche. ‘Our guests have become accustomed to our very high family standards over the years and with a number of Irish family award wins, we are delighted to re-open on such a positive note.’
Now in its forth year, the annual Irish Hotel Awards celebrate all that is special about the Irish hospitality industry and the awards usually are presented each year at a national event. This year the awards organisers took to a tour to present the national winners with their awards, sharing the special news just before many are due to reopen their doors.
The finalists each had a secret shop style visit back in January and subject to a judging panel of industry experts who were tasked in taking in each aspect of their stay and individually assessing each hotel on an extensive list of criteria.
The Dingle Skellig Hotel reopens on Friday July 3rd 2020.
