DAARA Trip to Dingle Report – “Ronnie does it again!” – from Sheila Deegan
Our DAARA trip to Dingle was a huge success.
Seriously, from start to finish, it was a pleasure.
We had a stop in The Racket Hall Hotel in Roscrea on the way down for lunch.
We were greeted by management on arrival at the 4 Star Dingle Skellig Hotel, and it was really 4 Star standard all the way for the four days. They made every effort throughout our stay to keep ushappy. The food was very good, and the nightly music was great fun by all accounts.
We toured around the beautiful Dingle Peninsula, visited Blennerville Windmill Centre, Dingle Aquarium, Dick Mac’s Brewery in Dingle, Inch beach, and even had a stop in The Tom Crean Pub in Anascaul. In Tralee, we had a walk around the lovely Rose Garden, nearly as good as the Rose Garden in St Anne’s!
All the activities were at a leisurely pace, perfect for our age profile!
Our Cronin's Coach was very comfortable, and our driver, Martin, went out of his way to accommodate us everywhere we went, and kept us amused and informed throughout.
We had lunch on the way back in the Devon Inn in Templeglantine, and had a comfort stop in the lovely village of Adare. I must apologise again for getting back late to the bus!
The company was good too, and we had great reminiscing about the good old days in Aer Lingus!
